Jesus said that one of the secrets to life was to:
“Do for others as we would have them do for us.” (Matthew 7:12)
Here at Lisburn City Church we passionately believe this to be true and that volunteering is one way that we can learn to do this. Being part of an active church is a great way to use our gifts and talents, make friends and feel like we are part of something significant.
We have various ways in which you can get involved and use your gifts alongside others:
Music is one of the ways we love to celebrate and worship God. Our Worship Team are made up of people of all ages who are as passionate about God as they are about music and are always on the look out for more people to join the team. Reaching the nations, one pixel at a time.
Our Web and Media team bring LCC to life online and connect with the world locally and globally. This includes creating graphics for our Social Media accounts and updating our Website, to photography and videography. If you have experience or a desire to express Gods love in a digital and creative way, this is the ministry for you.
Specific roles:
Web Developers
Do you know your <head> from your <body>, can you whip up some JavaScript in a Flash? If you have experience in web development and would like to volunteer within this ministry in order to keep our website in tip-top shape get in touch at info@lisburncitychurch.com
Photographer / Videographer
We are looking for someone (with their own quality camera) to help us capture moments, smiles and hearts at our services and events periodically throughout the year for use on our social media and digital channels. If you fancy yourself as a budding photographer/videographer get in touch at info@lisburncitychurch.com
Our Sunday Morning ‘Welcome Team’ help our Service to run smoothly and are there to assist regular attenders and guests before, during and after the service. This includes:
- Greeters team
- Coffee team
- Car Park team

We also run a number of events/activities from toddlers to teens! If you have experience working with youth get in touch. We are looking for:
- Kidzone & Teenzone Teachers and assistants
- Youth Club helpers
- LCC Unplugged volunteers
LISBURN FOODBANK
We have opportunities throughout the year to serve in the Foodbank, along with Food Collection and Bag Packing days and of course the packing of our Christmas Hampers.
CAP RELEASE GROUPS
Throughout the year we run Cap Release Addiction groups, we need those who will lead, make coffee and befriend attendees.
EAT WELL SPEND LESS
If you would like to share your culinary prowess with others EWSL is the place for you.
BEFRIENDERS
We have a number of people throughout the year who just need someone to chat with. If you have a friendly open personality, are a good listener and can chat about a wide range of subjects, this could be a role for you.
